Ivan started at Bright Star Schools at the age of 12.
He graduated in 2010, as Bright Star's first valedictorian.
Today he attends UC Santa Barbara.
At Bright Star Schools, we believe all students are College Bound.

Bright Star Schools is an emerging charter management organization operating two tuition-free public charter schools - Stella Middle Charter Academy and Bright Star Secondary Charter Academy - that serve students from the Mid-City communities of Los Angeles. The mission of Bright Star Schools is to open minds and doors. We provide a rigorous college-preparatory education, offer individual attention and teach skills necessary for students to make good life choices. Through our school-wide culture of personal responsibility, respect and accountability, students learn to be conscientious, compassionate and creative members of our diverse communities.
